Ira Rosenau joined Keystone Industries in 2015 as the president of the company’s dental division, overseeing all facets of Keystone’s comprehensive manufacturing of dental medical devices and pharmaceuticals, including the development and commercialization of its digital dental materials such as the KeyPrint® line of 3D printing resins and the KeyMill® high-impact denture disc for milling. In addition to focusing on organic growth through product innovations, Ira also oversaw several acquisitions to improve processes or sales channels for the dental group, including the legal and business issues that needed to be addressed.
As the KeyPrint 3D printing resins became the industry-leading offerings in the dental space, the impact of this new business area on Keystone was substantial. In the first four years of product sales, the dental division saw revenues grow by more than 55% (11%+ CAGR per annum). In seven years as the president of the dental division at Keystone, Ira oversaw the reinvention of Keystone’s business that led to profit growth of 550% over that time.
He developed expertise in developing and manufacturing regulated medical devices and drugs in a globally-compliant manner. Ira had oversight responsibility for operations, R&D and project management, marketing and sales strategies and messaging, and brand development.
Prior to joining Keystone Industries, Ira had a private commercial law practice in Philadelphia primarily focused on representing regional and national businesses in a full range of commercial litigation matters, including employment matters, real estate, partnership disputes, negotiable instrument litigation, tax litigation, construction litigation, patent litigation, landlord/tenant disputes and general business torts and breach of contract cases. Ira obtained an advanced law degree focused on trial advocacy and presentation from Temple University in 2001, which skills he put to use successfully litigating cases in both federal and state courts throughout the Philadelphia area and beyond. He honed his writing skills, his negotiating skills, and client management approaches over the years in private practice. Ira gained experience across a host of industries and learned valuable business and financial skills in navigating complex litigation arising in a variety of business contexts. He also handled an array of mergers and acquisitions, real estate transactions, and other commercial matters outside of litigation.
Ira left his private law practice after 20 years to become, among other things, General Counsel at Keystone Industries, a global medical device and cosmetics manufacturer. As Keystone’s General Counsel, Ira handled the full range of legal issues facing a business – employment and HR issues, litigation management, mergers and acquisitions, compliance, intellectual property, insurance coverage, and supply and vendor contracts, to name just a few subject areas.
